Concrete Phase

Once we have earned your business and are ready to start the concrete pouring phase, we will peel away the sod and add a stone base that we compact down and grade. We will create a trench around the perimeter of 12" x 12" to make a thickened edge or grade beam. The grade beam is reinforced with 1/2" steel and the floor area has 3/8" rod 24" OC to assure if any cracks in concrete occur, the floor and grade beam will not separate.

Forming the slab

Now that the new slab has been formed up and prepared for the concrete pour, we will contact the building inspector to to authorize the the process to move forward.  One of our experienced masons will then order 4000 LB concrete and proceed to install the new garage floor. A poured raised curb is typically added to the sale to keep the new garage treated bottom plate off the slab and a 3 1/2 " slope of th floor surface is generally standard. All concrete floors will have a troweled finish and are cut or tool jointed for crack control. Job site and around the new floor will be rough graded by hand or with a bobcat and left over concrete will be removed or buried. We will then proceed wot the prepare and pour exterior concrete flatwork you have purchased.
